This once a year cruise gives you the opportunity to ride the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler when she departs Cascade Locks for The Dalles. Enjoy a breathtaking, true "Heart of the Gorge" experience as you cruise in the heart of the Columbia National Scenic Area. Watch the forest open up to sheer cliffs and peaks creating the perfect natural setting for the region’s wildlife. See the Gorge transform before your eyes from mountainous lush green landscapes to the beauty of the high desert on this historic route of exploration and trade.

Members of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation will also be on board in historic attire and provide historical detail on what Lewis and Clark reported, the hazards they faced on this stretch of the Columbia, where they camped overnight, and how local Indians provided their assistance. The Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation strives to protect the Trail and interpret the story for future generations.
